PVRC ROW-A-THON
PVRC ROW-A-THON
When: Saturday, November 2nd at 9am
Severe Weather – Same Date/Erg-A-thon
Where: Meet at the PVRC Boathouse
Row: Boathouse to 91 Bridge (3-6 mile Row)
Why: Running a boathouse is expensive! The fees participants pay make up only 35% of the income we need to balance the budget. The rest is generated from sponsorships, donations, grants, events, and fundraisers like the Row-A-Thon. The Row-A-Thon was created several years ago by our youth rowing team and in 2017 it spread to the entire boathouse with the kids leading the charge. If everyone collects pledges by November 2nd we can surpass last year’s success and meet our budget plus a little extra.
Surplus goes toward equipment upgrades, which is one reason we are all highly motivated to make the Row-A-Thon a success.
Even if your schedule keeps you from participating on Saturday, November 2nd, please consider gathering contributions for this yearly fundraising event or make a pledge towards someone who will be participating.
