BOYS & GIRLS VARSITY 

Varsity Rowers compete in fall, spring, and summer regattas.  They are required to attend 95% of all practices and 100% of all regattas (allowances can be made for scrimmages) . Rowers whose schedule does not allow for consistent attendance may train with the team but will not be boated for regattas.  

 

Varsity Fall 2015 Program Information 

Dates: August 31 - November 4th

Days & Times:  Monday - Friday 3:45-6:00pm, Saturday 10:30-12:00pm 

Please arrange for carpool. Varsity practice is scheduled to start before the LHS bus arrives.

Fee: $500 Plus $125 regatta fees

 

NOVICE TEAM 

ATHLETES IN THEIR 1st COMPETITIVE YEAR OF ROWING

While the competitive novice program is open to rowers with little to no experience, it does require participants be able to attend practice 5 days a week, attend regattas on the weekends .

 

Novice Fall 2015 Program Info

Dates: September 8 - November 4th

Days & Times: Monday - Friday 3:45-6:00pm.

Fee: $450 plus $125 regatta fee (fee includes a t-shirt for all new novice rowers)

 

 

MOD SQUAD (aka Middle School Team)

NEW & EXPERIENCED ROWERS (age 12 - 15)

The MOD Squad is intended for middle school students to learn the basics of rowing and athletic fundamentals.  Rowers focus on land based training, gaining a general rowing knowledge and getting a taste for racing! Middle school is 5 days a week

 

Middle School Pogram Information

Middle School: Monday - Friday 4:00-6:00pm.

Fee: $350 plus $125 regatta fee  (fee includes a t-shirt for all new rowers)

  

 

RECREATIONAL TEAM 

A flexible schedule alternative. Athletes may customize their schedule based on how many days each week they will practice (no less than three).  The program will utilize all of the PVRC equipment including paddling, bikes, and rowing shells to engage rowers in a fun and dynamic environment.

 

There is no Recreational Program scheduled for the Fall 2015 Season

 

SUMMER SCULLING

The youth summer sculling programs focus on rowing in single and double person shells. Our professional coaching staff will work with youth to build confidence and independence on the water. Classes are scheduled to allow participants the flexibility necessary with busy summer schedules.
